Episode 6: California Speed (Nintendo 64)

California Speed is a racing video game developed and published by Atari Games. The game was first released in arcades in 1998 and was ported to the Nintendo 64 in 1999 by Midway Games.

  1. Love the reviews! I always disliked this game, however. Rush 2 will always be my favorite! Keep 'em up! 🙂

  2. the review was good this is actually my favorite racing game on the n64 i love the music and tracks too

  3. I like the Rush Games so I need to get this game

  4. game really should have better than arcade but then again

  5. Always did love this game. Although my favorite car from the Arcade version was unfortunately an unlockable car which sucked since I didn't even know how to even unlock it back then but I always did like this game even after it was ported to the N64 despite me playing the ported version before the Arcade version.

  6. This was one of my favourite games growing up as a kid, I unfortunately lost my N64 but am currently working on restoring my old collection of games, and this one is next on the list, I can't wait to play this game again

  7. 18 years ago today, California Speed was released for the N64 console.

  8. For me, this game always felt like someone was half-way into making San Francisco Rush, then regreted it, and tried to make Cruis'n Exotica over it. Yeeaahh, I never liked this one very much.
